I have not. I’d like to, though.
Yes. They are nice.
Yes, they’re terrific.
Very briefly Costco carried them. They were fantastic. Warmed over a cup of tea, it was the perfect afternoon nibble.
Sigh, they were in my life so briefly.
That’s a very personal question. When I was a younger man… etc. goes off on long meandering tale
Wegman’s carries them! I am happy!
For those, like me, who have no idea what a Stroopwafel is.
Gooey/syrupy is not my cupa, so I don’t think I’d like this.
Where are they being encountered?
[David Attenborough] Here we see the wild stroopwafel in its native habitat… [/DA]
My local supermarkets sell them in various forms, but I’m in the UK. You can even get bags of mini-ones (about the size of a quarter). Some are the proper ones with syrup or honey in the middle; others just use caramel.
Yes, they’re yummy. A local grocer sells them, along with salty licorice and a few other favorites from the old country.
Not as good as freshly made ones, of course.
The ones I had weren’t gooey. Just a little softened with a light sweetness in the middle.
Among other things, I had some in Amsterdam.
Yeah, it’s not like a snickers bar or something. They’re nice, and a little different, but there are lots of similar cookie/cracker type things that go well with tea or coffee.
They are a Dutch traditional speciality, they are DELICIOUSNESS INCARNATE, and are one of the things that makes life in the Netherlands bearable (at least for me).
Is that the cookie that they serve on airplanes? If so, yes.
Yes, and they are delightful. I find it hard to resist buying a box whenever I see them in a store.
They’re sooo good when they’re fresh and warm.
I mean, they aren’t BAD when you eat them cold out of the packet from the store either, but a warm fresh stroopwafel is a beautiful thing.
Oh I’ve had those, didn’t know they were called stroopwafel, those were always “waffle cookies” and were the YUMS! never gooey or syrupy, slightly soft and flexible but with a definite snap/crunch/crispy sensation when you bit into one.
Which one?
I had one at a brothel in Amsterdam. Nice experience but very expensive because most of the girls won’t do it. Oh wait, a stroopwafel, sorry thought you meant something else. No, never had one of those.
Once, a long while ago, my son ordered a box from a specialty on line store. Very recently we had pizzelle, which are Italian and very stroopwafel-ly.
