Yes, oh about a 1000 times. It’s a personality flaw. I don’t like these things so I guess I block them.
Have you ever been backstage at big name concert?
Yes. Too many to count. When I was in college I worked for the concession vendor at a concert venue. The office and supply storage was backstage, just a couple doors down from the lead performer’s dressing room. For part of that time I had to set up our part of the catering in the dressing room before the show’s access to the building began. Some interesting orders, but none making be sort M&M’s by color.
Have you ever showed up for work on a day off because you forgot what day of the week it was?
Yes. Well, sort of. I overslept a bit, looked at the clock, panicked, quickly did my usual morning things, got dressed in jacket and tie, grabbed my briefcase, and jumped in the car. It was on the way to my office that I noticed that traffic was lighter than usual, and I realized–it was Saturday. So I didn’t actually get to work, but I think my experience fits the parameters.
Have you ever been to a drive-in movie?
Yes, yes. What fun we had. Saw some really crappy ‘B’ movies. Ate crappy junk food. Ran around like a bunch of teens would. The drive-in nearest me was going out of business in the mid eighties so a bunch of us got together and took a couple of cars and an ice chest. It was horrible. Couldn’t hear the sound, kids were running allover the place. Mosquitoes were bad. You’re only young once I guess. But I do have fond memories.
Have you ever drank so much you blacked out and woke up in a strange place?
Yes. A local band we wanted to see and hear was playing nearby, and since Buddy’s girlfriend didn’t drink, we had a designated driver. Buddy and I overindulged, and I don’t remember the last part of the night. But apparently Girlfriend got us home safely. Buddy woke up in his own bed, but I woke up on the front seat of the pickup truck, where they left me. I awoke, lifted my head, and promptly hit it on the steering wheel. Klutzy me, as always.
Have you ever hailed a taxi, like in the movies? (That is, stood on the curb, raised your hand, and hollered, “Taxi!” or whistled?)
Yes! They didn’t respond, but I did it.
Have you ever been to a high society party?
Yes, I guess so. It was circa 2000 and Kevin McClatchy owned the Pittsburgh Pirates. I made some deprecating remarks about the team, totally oblivious to the fact that the team’s owner was in the group I was talking to. I was embarrassed.
Have you ever given a speech to a large group of people?
Yes, if 300-400 is “large.” I speak to groups of lawyers about once a year at legal education seminars. Sometimes it’s only 20 or so, sometimes its more.
Have you ever been on or in a pyramid?
Yes. Climbed to the top of the great pyramid at Chichen Itza.
Have you ever traveled to 4 or more continents?
Yes, all 7.
Have you ever played a zither?
Yes, not very well. When I was a kid my mom picked up one at a garage sale with a dozen or so music cards and I learned to pick out tunes on my own. Funny, I hadn’t thought about the zither in decades, but I must have spent many hours on it back then.
Have you ever had a phone conversation that included a marriage proposal?
(gratuitous advice: don’t propose over the phone, your proposee will probably say no :D)
No. Just no.
Have you ever gone sailing in a sailboat?
Yes, my cousin had one. We sailed for all of 20 minutes, afterhe realized he had to go back for an appointment he’d forgotten.

Seriously, have you ever played a jukebox?
Yes, but mostly in college so it’s been years and years.
Have you ever taken dance classes?
Yes, I was a pointe dancer through college. My feet are perma-wrekked!
Do you still own Beatle vinyl?
Yes. I still have my Beatles LPs. They’re packed away in the garage, but I still have them.
Have you ever sat in the public gallery of a legislative body? (Municipal council, state/provincial legislature, federal legislature?)
Yes, I attended city council meetings, and when I was in Washington DC we went to listen to speechifying in the House of Representatives.

Regards,
