Have you googled your name?

My maiden name in quotes returns about 421 entries. Very few are actually about me. I did find the same name in a staff member for the Redbud Classic, someone whose uncle was shot dead by a British soldier, and a “certified love coach.” Hey, cool. Also, someone who left raving reviews of a Donny Osmond site, a game show winner who won $5,472, someone who volunteered time to help a school with eye exams, a published author in the field of cultural integration within merging and acquired organizations, and a sales/marketing manager. Didn’t realize I had so many alter egos.

I got 156 with my first and last in quotes. One of the first 30 was about me (a project I worked on that one of my coworkers seems to be using as an exemplar for his online resumé).

There’s a lot of scattered people, but it seems the most famous guy with my name was a big star on the Coventry and Boston United teams in the early seventies. He may have gone on to manage some teams in later years. I didn’t actually read any of those sites.

448 results, but only 11 are mine, though in all fairness, I’m the only one out there who has my name (all other hits were my first and last name appearing separately on a site, independent of each other). In addition, all but 1 are on movie-related sites and I discovered that my work e-mail has popped up out there in the WWW (it hadn’t as of 3 months ago though I’ve been working here 1.5 years)

I went back and did my screen name; as expected, 6 misspellings of AlItalia. I also went back and did my “first, middle initial, last,” because I was curious that our work site did not appear. Still did not appear. Zero hits. Hmm. . .

416 with my “maiden name,” didn’t have time to look at all the sites to see if any are me.

This could get addicting.

Did both my nickname and last name in quotes…then my real first name and last name in quotes…

Not one mention of me :frowning:

…although, according to Google, my alter-egos include the owner of a real estate “dynasty” in Ontario, a romance novelist, and a professional artist/painter…

When I Google’d “kiz” most of what came up was/is in Turkish!

Heh… I googled my screen name, and got no hits. Yay, me! I’m anonymous!

I googled my first and last names (without quotes) and got 51,100 hits. None of them are me (I think). My alter-egos include a bunch of people in Hong Kong, Singapore, and that region of the world; an eleven year-old-kid who likes Pokemon; someone who once did a project on data analysis software for a biomedical gel reader (whatever that is); a vice-president of CNY2002; a doctor; and too many more to list here.

With quotes, my name brings up 114 hits.

Only one hit for my first/last name, and It’s me!

I’m an officer in a high school Latin Club!

About 12500 for first and last names. Nothing relates to me but I’ve been dragging my heels about a homepage and there aren’t really any organisations that would have anything on me to be shown like that.
It seems to be mostly politics, associations and academics with quantum physics coming up top.

I got 131, eight of which are links to articles I have written.

One guy who shares my name was listed as being the winner of 4.5 million dollars in a state lottery.

Zero results for my real name.
12 for my username - all of them me!

21,200 hits in total.

My screen name here is too common an abbreviation to whittle down a query. But I tried raugust which I have used elsewhere.

Found an oil painting of a female nude, so I’m pretty sure that’s not me.

Maybe this…

I’m a lake in Oregon with a large population of “young suckers.” Kinda scary.

On the odder side, one of my friends is a $cientologist dance choreographer, according to Google.

My “first last” returned 127 hits. Number 17 and 18 were about me - something about being the world champion in something or another. . . . and one of the two pages was in German!

Eeep! 19,000 hits to just my first name!

(none about me tho)

26 hits for me!

And lawdamighty, one of them has an unflattering picture of yours truly!
I had no idea my office had it’s own website!
