Restaurants in northern states that have been relying on outdoor seating to stay solvent are going to collapse this winter. Here in Ann Arbor, the city closed some streets to vehicle traffic so they could be used for extended outdoor seating - but nobody is going to want to sit out there for drinks and a meal when it’s 20 degrees and snowing.
