I don’t remember it from the time, if I even knew it at the time, but it was brought to my attention more recently when Elizabeth Peña died.
Wait, does that mean I should have voted no? Oy.

Watched the show from the beginning, but somehow missed the ending. Never even heard of the surprising ending until recently.
But I always thought Elizabeth Pena was totally cute.
When Elizabeth Peña died recently somebody else mentioned it here on the SDMB, and I watched it then. It looked extremely familiar to me, and I think it may have even been the show I was first exposed to her.
Watched it when it originally ran because I loved Elizabeth Pena.
ETA: That was me who posted that Pena died and mentioned the show. i also noted then that no one remembers I Married Dora.
I don’t think infamous means what you think it does (you are not alone) although for those of us who haven’t heard of it it may seem appropriate.

Loved this show as a kid. I think I mostly loved Elizabeth Pena. I didn’t remember the finale until reading about it online, but that was probably because I was too young to get it. I watched religiously.
Watched the whole series, but the only specific episodes I have any memory of are the first and the last.
Watched the entire series. I love Daniel Hugh Kelly, and also watched Second Noah and Ponderosa, two of his other short-lived series.
Growing up in New Mexico at the time, any show with a Hispanic theme was automatically a huge deal…and the show lasted far longer than A.K.A. Pablo!
I never heard either watch it.
Only heard of it from the other thread about great endings/great moments.
Watched it, saw the finale.
So…What happened in the Finale?
The show was cancelled.

[/QUOTE]The YouTube clip is cute but doesn’t give you the whole picture. IIRC, during the entire episode more and more dire events kept piling on until they all got to the airport, when the zinger zinged, like something out of Greek theater.
I remembered the show. I remembered the finale. In fact I have at times told the story of how surprising the ending was to various people.
Ohhh thaaaaat’s where that’s from!
