Questionable Content 01/22

Who else thinks Dora is going to flip out on Martin and start a problem in their relationship? Martin’s inability to cheat has been the focus of two strips so far, and with a girl asking him out, I really think Dora is going to act irrationally.

What say you?

http://questionablecontent.net/

Probably not, given that the girl implied that she got rejected. But you’re right, she is pretty irrational.

What I want to know is where the hell did the sword come from? I don’t have an eidetic memory, but I’ve been following the strip for a while and I do not remember that.

Also, damn Dora is smokin’. I love two-tone hair.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Dora flips out completely. I remember this little series (Questionable Content) with Dora being pretty irrational.

In this particular series Dora starts off pretty crazy but eventually calms down and comes to her senses. Perhaps it’ll be the same. Or maybe the strip takes a whole, new spin in the plot.

I don’t know why this would make Dora flip out on Marten. I mean, if some chick was bemoaning to me about this kind of thing and she described my boyfriend and was sad that he was already taken I would take that as a sign that he is faithful, not that I need to go all psycho-killer on him.

It’s for fighting off robbers and breaking pots.

Wasn’t there also a comic where she got pissy because he said he still thought about or had vague feelings of love for girls he knew in high school? I can’t remember how it went exactly, but she wasn’t happy…

ETA: Questionable Content It’s this one.

It’s mentioned in one strip that there’s a laptop and a broadsword under the counter. They used the sword to break a pot off of Raven’s head. I think it was during the Astroglide hair gel bit.

They were also playing around with the sword and what appears to be a wizard’s staff in Tuesday’s comic, for reasons not made explicit in the strip.

Thanks. No wonder I didn’t remember it, that was 900 strips ago.

Yay! a questionable content Thread

Euhm…nothing to add at the moment

but Yay!!!

Well, it looks like you guys were right! I hope he takes this a little further than the other fights. I’m getting a little bored with the perfection that is Marten/Dora.

But what I really wish Jeph would do is develop more between Faye and Sven. I mean, we know he likes her already - Make him grow a pair and let’s get official! That would really get under Dora’s scalp.

Also, count me as one that really hates Dora’s new hair. (Actually, I think I just don’t like Dora in general, but I’m not really sure why.)

Martin should have told her, but I don’t think it’s a big deal that he didn’t. I mean, the other girl even said he turned her down. I can understand why he wouldn’t though, given Dora’s history at taking small things and blowing them up.

It looks like someone dumped bleach on her hair.

I hate her hair, too. And she’s started to annoy me, too. She’s stopped dyeing it black and that’s her natural color…is that the story?

Dora can’t help her actions. It’s all in her genetic makeup. Her Italian genes make her volatile, and her Swedish genes make her go berserk with a Viking sword.

Jesus Christ. You just KNOW she’d be threatened by Marten telling her about a girl asking him out. And now she’s even more pissed that he knows how volatile she is and is trying to spare her feelings/a bloodbath.

Then again, part of me probably would react the same way. So I’m torn. Gah.

Plus…she’s a woman.

On Dora’s hair – she mentioned a couple of weeks ago (which is apparently several months ago in strip time; note that it is now suddenly winter) that she was going to grow it out. Dora is a natural blond who started dying her hair in school to be goth-like, and she’s over being goth and has wanted to go back to blond, but didn’t want to deal with the hassle of changing back, although Marten was supportive. Apparently she decided to grow it out and not cut it once it was long enough. Go figure.

As far as the OP: I’ve said this in a previous thread, so I’ll just repeat: I’m tired of Dora’s psychotic bullshit. They should break up, or we should finally find out more of Dora’s real back story (more detailed than “oh, gosh, Sven was always so much cooler than me, boo-hoo”). Marten should call her bluff once and for all. Pulling out a broadsword and some poor girl who Marten had just rejected because he’s in a committed relationship with Dora is a bit much. Jeph, do must we really do this all again? Is this going anywhere, ever?

BTW, re strip #1312, what does this reference? I have no clue.

Aha, the Dora is really a platinum blonde strips.
