Have you seen this month's cover of TV Guide

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! Not much else to say except I’m now trying to pour lysol in my eyes to get rid of the image of Michael Jackson looking really extra freaky.

TV Guide is a weekly, not a monthly.

And which cover are you talking about-the young Jacko or the old? I bet it’s old.

What I’ve noticed is that every other week they’ve got “ONE OF FOUR COLLECTOR’S EDITIONS!” covers.

How many people really do collect these things? Do we have legions of people driving from newstand to newstand frantically trying to find the third cover with Tootie from Facts of Life on it?

We could have a vote, like the one for the Elvis stamp – Do you prefer the old, “black” Jackson, the Middle “Cute” Jackson with chin cleft, or the New “Cadaverous” Jackson with “Erik the Phantom of the Opera” nose?

Oh Cranky, thanks for saying that! I thought I was the only one wondering about collecting a TV guide!! Weird idea/hobby if you want my opinion!

Yeah, I thought the same thing about collectible T.V. Guide covers – another cheap little exploitative trick. Since I subscribe to the magazine, I vowed never to purchase a newstand copy, particularly since they often send us subscribers some really lame cover that has nothing to do with the exciting collectibles at the store.

Then they decided to do four Tiger Woods covers, each one depicting a different Grand Slam [sub]or whatever you want to call it[/sub] win. Hey, you can never have too many pictures of Tiger Woods.

They’re not sucking me in with the bi-monthly Star Trek collections, though.
