Just got this week’s TV Guide (no, I don’t buy it – we get it free at work since we publish the TV Guide Crosswords magazine) – and OMG the picture on the cover is just horrendous. (Link – I think, you may need to be registered at that site.)
It has Marg Helgenberger, who I think is a very attractive woman, looking incredibly plastic and not at all like herself. In fact, the whole cover looks like a Mad Magazine parody of a picture.
Has anyone else seen this? Is anyone else bothered by this?
I registered but can’t find a picture of the cover. I see some covers, but not with Marg. Where do I look?
Couldn’t find the cover picture you speak of. Poked around at the site, but no-go.
For me it comes up as the graphic on the subscription ad in the top left-hand corner.
Or I guess you could just look at it the next time you’re standing in line at the grocery store, and truly bask in the layers of lacquer and vaseline involved.
Didn’t see that. However, I have a free subscription at home (really don’t want it as I have a TiVo and get my guide info from there) so I’ll check it out when it arrives in my mailbox.
I am just now thumbing through the edition you mentioned. It looks like every page has that weird look to it. Don’t know what it’s about.

Got home last night and the new issue was in my mailbox. I have to agree about the cover photo looking wierd. Not only does the woman look strange, but the guy to the right of her also looks plastic and odd.

There’s a small version of the picture on the homepage on the left-hand side subscription box thing. Even from that little picture, it does look incredibly weird.
And while I do agree that Marg Helgenberger is normally a very attractive woman, I think she’s spoiled her looks somewhat by getting obvious (and imo, bad) plastic surgery (her lips were downright scary toward the beginning of CSI this season).
