Has Drew Barrymore had plastic surgery?

She looks nothing like herself on the cover of the new Vogue.

Maybe she lost some weight.

Photoshop: the poor man’s scalpel…

Looks like it’s just a combination of makeup, airbrushing, and good angles.

Not her body, her face – I took my copy out of the mailbox and honestly could not figure out who that was on the cover – even after I saw her name, I had to open the magazine and look at the feature to check whether it was her or not.

And “good angles”? I don’t agree – I really like the way she (usually) looks, and think this look is much less interesting.

Judging from a new makeup commerical I saw her on this week, she’s changed color at the minimum. More yellow-y orange. I suspect fake tan, which isn’t a good idea when touting makeup that automatically adjusts to your skintone.

That looks more like makeup and airbrushing to me.

Wow…I’ve thought Drew was incredibly hot since…well I can’t even remember how long. That picture is a major step backwards in my mind. Most unfortunate.

Don’t think so.This site shows a lot of magazine covers where the star really doesn’t look like herself, as evidenced by later pictures.

Cool site, Maastricht – thanks!

I saw this cover in the store. First impression: her arm looks photoshopped. Something ain’t right about it. It tapers oddly.

It’s her arm that looks weird to me. I get that they did extreme makeup on her face, it is Vogue after all.

But her arm looks to me like it was shrunken to stick-like proportions and then freakishly lengthened to appear almost hollow, like a porcelain doll.

I just re-looked at the link in the OP…did you see that side bar ad: Susan Powter is back!!

Yeah, but she doesn’t have the butch haircut anymore, so who cares. :stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah, her arm really does look weird. Part of it is the way it’s lighted – there’s a shadow in the crease of the elbow that’s doing some weird contouring – but … ew.

I’m trying to figure out why I’m so bothered by this. Wouldn’t she have some kind of say in which picture they’d use? And if you were going to be on the cover of Vogue (or any other magazine sold in supermarket checkout lines), wouldn’t you want it to look like you?

These magazines are terrible about stuff like this. I saw Keira Knightly on the cover of Vogue, or some similar magazine, and through a combination of makeup and Photoshop they managed to completely destroy everything that is unique about her face. I didn’t even recognize her until I spotted her name on the cover, because she looked like a generic fashion model.

Another vote for Photoshop. Why? She looks, better, not worse. Plastic surgery, botox, and collagen ALWAYS make women look worse.

For example, check out the latest pics of Nicole Kidman.

But I don’t think she does look better – her distinctive features have been … erased.

Since you saw E.T.?

Many of the fashion and celebrity mags are so heavy handed with Photoshop these days your inquiry is a running Joke on Paris Hilton’s site re “Who the hell is this?” features where a popular star’s magazine picture is posted without any names and he challenges you to name them.

Sometimes it’s a real stumper, and when you hear the name your reaction is “What… Who?”.

That page was just a load of fun!

I will admit to saving the preggy Christina Ag pic- wow!
