Dragged family to Warner Theatre show last night. Very diverse audience of nerds. Audience having a wonderful time. Al is a grand performer, and his band is beyond professional. Al must have taken perpetual motion lessons from Mick, he can really dance and is in tremendous shape.
The sound was too loud, even in the nosebleed section, which is why I left with the whiners. Is there a fan site I can find a set list?–we only saw 1 polka mash-up.
The 11 year old loved it much more than I expected. My excessively sophisticated 13 year old was really negative, although she does appreciate the videos and the wit of the songwriting.
Here’s the setlist for last night (I’m pasting from setlist.fm so ignore the Play Video stuff):

I actually just made plans with one of my friends who lives near Cleveland to take a trip out there. Cedar Point on Sept 2, Weird Al on Sept 3!
I’ve seen him in concert about 20 times, and he always does an amazing show. I’m happy to see that he’s changing up the setlist a bit from night to night, because his shows used to be exactly the same (aside from some minor bits) show every night on each tour.
