On tv, there’s an employee who calls everybody, including men, “Honey”. I can’t remember the characters name. Anyone know who I’m talking about?
BTW; Some time back I started a thread asking who might have heard a man irl do this, as I’ve known two or three who did. It was only for friends and family. These men were from Texas, Oklahoma, or Arkansas iirc.
Peace,
mangeorge
On “King of the Hill”
Joe Jack on King of the Hill.
Cool. Thanks.
“Baby did a bad, baaad thing, honey.”
???
Chris Isaak?
Yes, I know the song and the artist. I just don’t get the relevance to the OP.
Okay… I currently have about 30 threads open, and this has suddenly become the most intriguing…
Someone here has a guy friend who calls him “Honey” because he did a bad, bad thing?
(C’mon, you can tell us…)
I just can’t let a King of the Hill question go unanswered. There’s an episode where Bobby and Hank form a propane-related sketch comedy act. Joe Jack (wearing a giant diaper) plays Big Baby, whose big finish is to fart and say “Baby did a bad, bad thing.”
I just didn’t think the word “honey” ever ended that line though. Hence my question mark.
Could it be that “someone” has a fantasy hookup with Chris Isaak?
I’m not gay, but I can see where Chris is kinda cute.
Me too, so I looked.
No, no “honey”.
Y’know, I’m not sure everyone here is working all that hard on that “Fighting Ignorance” part of the job description …
This board is all about fantasy, is it not? It barely fits under the “Fighting Ignorance” umbrella.
Jim occasionally calls Huck “honey” in Huckleberry Finn, so it isn’t that new. I’ll leave it up to you whether it’s that gay, though.
I remember the original manuscript where Huck says “You call me that one mo’ time, Jimmy-Jim-Bob-Boy, an’ I’m a-gonna start droppin’ thet thar N Word”.
There’s some WC Fields flick (I think it’s “It’s a Gift”) where he calls some old guy Honey.
I remember when I was young and in a brand new relationship and still walking around in a lust fog I’d sometimes have a slip of the tongue and call someone other than her, man or woman, “honey”.
And I know I know I’m not the guy to do so.
Ha, I’d assumed he was saying Hayney or Hanny as a diminutive for Hank.
Is he really saying Honey?!?
As clear as a Belle.
