I remember him best as Moe Green, among many other characters from his days on SCTV. Until the advent of wikipedia, I had always assumed he was Canadian because of this.
I wonder if Ghostbusters 3, something he was working on, will now die also.
That’s surprising and sad. Stripes is still pretty funny.
No more Ghostbusters 3?
That about sums it up. So much for Ghostbusters III.
RIP, MR. Ramis. Thanks for the laughs.
I read the subject line and thought, “Well, that would be bad.”
It is. A funny actor and an even more talented comedic writer and director.
Aw that’s sad, I didn’t even realize that he was ill. Stripes, Ghostbusters, Caddy Shack, Groundhog Day, Vacation, and SCTV were all great and he was truly talented. IMDB shows that he directed several episodes of the Office, which I did not realize.
Who is going to maintain his collection of spores, molds, and fungus?
In the immortal words of Jean Paul Sartre, “Au revoir, Harold.”
Haha, it looks like the Moderator has crossed the streams, and quickly merged 3 threads before we could get all covered in ectoplasm!
Great job Marley23! (assuming it was you…)
Well, I think we now know the answer to why he was in a wheelchair two years ago (vasculitis, in the Chicago Tribune article).
Well, shit. That’s not allowed, not at all.
“Black guys help the white guys”.
Loved him. RIP
It’s only fitting to have three threads about Ramis’s death, as he did direct Groundhog Day.
And I betcha more people think of the movie than the holiday when they hear the phrase.
“See you on the other side, Egon.”
I always wanted to be Winger, but grew up much more Ziskey.
Son of bitch. Shit.
Though I suspect there’s more gravy than grave about Marley.
Sorry Egon. Don’t know what to say, I’m saddened beyond the capacity for rational thought.
