He has to free the J6ers, right?

The three motivators of Trump that explain all of his actions: greed, ego, and spite, and I think that greed is really a subset of ego, since like most of the extremely wealthy, money for him is less about being able to buy things to make you happy as it is a way to keep score.

Which would explain why he slaps back so hard at anyone who suggests that he is not, in fact, as wealthy as he claims to be.

He did of course, despite what our expert prognosticators in this thread claimed.

Moderating:

I’ve noticed several of your posts in P&E threads seem more focused on scoring off other posters whom you perceive as having gotten their predictions of outcomes wrong. As we all do at times.

We expect posters to make their cases with vigor, but dial back the passive aggressive personal attacks. To be precise: Knock it off.

I’m only interested in where the freed fucks are going to perform their next “peaceful demonstration.”

They’ll be too busy posting for selfies with Fetterman.

I was wrong here – he only pardoned most of the “hostages” (his words). He commuted the sentences of the more violent ones, cop killers, etc.

All of them are getting freed though, so I was probably close enough.

Eyepatch has all of these terrorists in his contacts now, and all he needs is the call from some other asshole like Roger Stone. What’s the odds any of them will say, “Phew! I’m keeping my nose clean from here on out!”?

Hey, he’s gotta give them some incentive for doing it again.

“You’ll get your full pardon for J6 the next time you storm Congress after they’ve pissed me off!”

It would be fun if a rumor could be floated wherein he’s considering posthumously pardoning Timothy McVeigh.

Easily denied. He would have nothing to gain from doing that.

Because he wanted their friends and family desperate to get him back into office.

I admit to being surprised that he pardoned all of them. I don’t think he really understood what he was signing. Scribbling out signatures at his little desk is his favorite theater piece. In an interview a couple days later, confronted with the question of whether those who attacked police officers should have been pardoned, he said “Well, we’ll look into it.” He didn’t seem to comprehend that he had already pardoned them.

It was okay to pardon the worst because something Portland. I’m starting to hate this guy.

Apparently, there were discussions about who to pardon but they were taking too long and I imagine were boring for Trump.
