Unfortunately you didn’t add this to the original post… so now when we link to it there won’t be this disclaimer anywhere. Sure, you could always check the thread, but no one can be bothered to do that.
Be sure to link to the “single post only” by clicking the post number in the top right of the post and using that url. That way people will have to go out of their way to see the disclaimer.
hehheh.
You mean if we link to just the post the disclaimer won’t be visible?
But you CAN’T put a disclaimer within a post like that; don’t you guys know anything about commitment to the bit?

God damn it Kansas City. Give the ball to Thomas Jones on the 1 foot line, not defensive tackles!
I need Arizona’s DEF to outscore San Fran’s DEF by 4 points tonight if I’m to maintain my tenuous hold on 4th place.
If I lose I should still be in it; I’d be 7-5 w/ two games left, and in the seven previous seasons in this league, no 9-5 team has missed the playoffs. 8-6 usually *has *missed, however: of the 22 teams to finish with that record, only 5 have made the playoffs, and those have come from only two seasons (two 8-6 teams made it in '05, and three made it last year [including eventual champion VarlosZ]).
I’m thrilled with being 7-5… this wasn’t a particularly good week for me, with both Dez Bryant and T.O. scoring under 2 points. But Moreno and Tolbert have good weeks and I took advantage of a bad performance from Hamlet’s team.
Of course I would have won big if I’d started the San Diego DEF against the Colts instead of Cleveland against CAR… but who would have foreseen that SD would outscore Cleveland with those matchups?
But I can’t complain about being 7-5 when I’ve started Chad Henne, Matt Hasselbeck, Ryan Fitzpatrick and Sean Hill at QB.
Sure you can. Fitzpatrick has thrown for 2200 yards and 19 touchdowns in 2 fewer games than everyone else.
I’m hesitant to post here because I know someone will point out the fact that I have the luckiest team in the league, which is true. I’m 8-4 (seriously, I checked!) and while I feel like I’ve managed this team fairly well and done the most with what I had… I’m only in the position I am because I’ve had the fewest points scored against me, by far. And by posting this, I will have assured I’ll lose out from here and miss even the consolation bracket.
But, for fun, let’s play a game. You guess what you think this team’s record would be 12 games into the season;
Draft picks:
Round One: Ryan Mathews, RB, SD (50.40 fantasy points, 51st among RB)
Round Two: Steve Smith, WR, Car (51.93 fantasy points, 76th among WR)
Round Three: Jonathan Stewart, RB, Car (45.40 fantasy points, 54th among RB)
Fucking. Brutal. I’m awful. Among other beauties, Bernard Berrian in the 8th and Fred Taylor in the 9th. But it does go to show how much I’ve worked the wire just to stay afloat, along with all the luck I’ve gotten.
Well, Dave picked up Brian Westbrook - again - on my waiver claim. Ellis Dee, do you want to sort this out? I wouldn’t have started him, but he did.
I undid Dave’s roster, putting Shonn Greene (who hasn’t even played yet…bonus!) in Brian Westbrook’s starting spot so Dave won’t be caught with his pants down.
I also made Westbrook a free agent, so go ahead and sign him now. Try to get him signed before tomorrow midnight when free agency opens.
Thanks, ED. Sorry for the confusion, Dave - hope Greene puts up more than 3 pts for you.
I need for **Munch **not to score 32.3 points tonight from Wes Welker, Braylon Edwards, and Benjarvus Green-Ellis. If I wind up winning, then we’ll both be 8-5 and (probably) able to control our own destiny next week. If I lose, then (realistically) **Munch **is in and I’m out.
Sorry Varlos, if you’d have played anyone else this week you’d have won.
HE DESERVED IT.
Filthy Varlos beat me by like .000000001 points in different leagues two weeks in a row.
Wilson! - final playoff spot comes down to a rematch of week 1. I took you then (in a truly pathetic display from both teams - think Panthers over Niners kind of quality). Can I stumble into the playoffs with a repeat? Or will Ryan Fitzpatrick sling you into the promised land?
Hmm - loser gets first pick, winner gets to face the Vick-Hillis-fuck-your-preseason-projections juggernaut. DAMN YOU HERMAN EDWARDS!
I forget… does the draft order for this league work the same way as HHM?
It works EXACTLY like the draft in HHM. In fact, you could say the two leagues are identical.
Boy, is my face red. Like this  only with this expression. :smack:
