The other night, I was looking at old TV commercials on youtube (I was really bored!) and was surprised to discover that Heather Locklear was the girl who was so impressed by Faberge Shampoo that she told two friends about it. (“And they told two friends, and THEY told two friends, and so on and so on…”)
Ben Jones plays the trucker that the Enoses ask about The Bandit toward the very beginning. He has one line “Ain’t seen him.”
And. . . speaking of “Dukes of Hazzard,” the heavyset chap that walks up immediately after that and tells them where to find him was local actor Bruce Atkins, who played Sheriff Roscoe P. Coltrane from the movie “Moonrunners,” which would eventually give birth to “Dukes of Hazzard.”
I’ve watched The Abyss a zillion times, and still double-take at Chris Elliot as a ship’s crewman.
Yep I recently rewatched Moonrunners, any Dukes fan should check it out. It’s got the Boars Nest, Uncle Jesse, Sheriff Roscoe Coltrane, and more.
huh?
David “friends” Schwimmer?
Gotta call BS on this one, what he is 40-45? The Warriors was made in the 70s.
Yeah, Schwimmer’s first credit on IMDB is in 1982. However, Marcelino Sanchez, who played Rembrandt, was also Ricardo in the “Bloodhound Gang” segments on early 3-2-1 Contact.
Post 179 confirms the BS call…they both look like weasels, so it was a simple mistake.
And the actress who pkayed Trini on 3-2-1 Contact was the newsstand girl in The Warriors. Ginny Ortiz.
Dana Carvey had a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it part as cameraman in Halloween 2.
James Marsters (Spike on Buffy) played Cameraman #3 in House On Haunted Hill (the remake.)
Naomi Watts was in Children of the Corn 6.
The girl who did the voice for Lilo in Lilo & Stitch was also the girl in The Ring.
The actress who played Christy in Paranormal Activity 2 was also in an episode of House (forget which episode).
One of my favorite films has a similar event: in Raising Arizona the “dip-tet shot” scene at the outdoor table features three future Best Actor(ess) Oscar winners, two of whom were unknown (to me anyway) at the time: Nick Cage, Holly Hunter, and Frances McDormand.
Thought of another very-well-known one: Phil Collins is theoretically visible in the screaming audience at the end of A Hard Day’s Night.
Colm Meaney, who played Chief O’Brien on Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, has a brief cameo as a police officer in Dick Tracy.
Jeremy Bulloch, better known as Boba Fett, appeared alongside the Third Doctor as Hal the Archer in “The Time Warrior”. There have actually been quite a few actors who have done both Star Wars and Doctor Who…
Derek Jacobi was in one of the Underworld movies. I saw him last night while surfing the channels and I thought “You must have been really hard up for a paycheck”
Another Helen Mirren role, not quite as shocking as recognizing her in CALIGULA… Morgana LaFay in EXCALIBUR.
Helen Mirren, we saw your boobs!
I think Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom was first.
Joseph Gordon Levitt played a very boring friend of DJ Connor on Roseanne, pre-3rd Rock From The Son. Prior to that, he was one of the children in Angels in the Outfield, playing opposite Christopher Lloyd and Danny Glover.
ETA: Of course, Roseanne also had Lacy Gorenson, Sarah Chalke, Sara Gilbert and Johnny Geleki, all unknown child actors at the time.
Hard not to. A lot of nude scenes in her resumé. Not that I’m complaining.
Red Dawn.
