He/she was in THAT?

The Lonely, in the background. But not Christopher Lloyd in TZ, at least, not the original series.

Art Carney! You’re totally right. Also, Shatner was in 2 Twilight Zone episodes.

Patrick Troughton, better known to most dopers as the 2nd incarnation of the Doctor, was also the repentant Satanist priest who lets Ambassador Thorne in on the big secret of his adopted son Damian (“His mother was a Ja…”) and then gets impaled by a cross.

Was the 4th Doctor, Tom Baker, mentioned yet? He played the evil wizard in The Seventh Voyage of Sinbad.

Good one Faithfool. I came in here to add it, but you beat me to the punch. Every time I see him I tell my wife he was Thor in adventures in Babysitting (Dawson). She never believes me.

George Wendt(Norm from Cheers) was in Dreamscape which was IIRC one of the first if not the first PG-13 movies.

He was also a pilot in the Andy Griffith movie No Time For Sergeants.

And it has to be mentioned that Tina Yothers was in that amazing movie Laker Girls!

How about Steve McQueen starring in “The Blob?”

On the other end, Bobby Troup, husband of Julie London and composer of “Route 66” a big hit for Nat King Cole and the Rolling Stones played an army sergeant in MAS*H at the age of 52. “God damn army jeep.”

James Worthy was a Klingon

I wanted to mention (but forgot) that William Hartnell a.k.a. the original 1st incarnation of the Doctor played a bartender in the terrific 30s thriller Odd Man Out.
And just to make a clean-sweep of all the classic era Doctors:
Also remembered that Doctor #3 - Jon Pertwee - had a bit part in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, but that movie sucks so don’t bother checking it out.

Tom Baker is of course the narrator for “Little Britain.”

Doctor #5 - Peter Davison - portrays the living “dish of the day” being served at the Restaurant at the End of the Universe" in the mini-series version of the Hitch-hikers’ Guide to the Galaxy (trivia note - his wife played Trillian).

Doctor #7 - Sylvester McCoy - played an orderly at the insane asylum who watches over Lucy’s room in the 1979 Frank Langella Dracula.

Doctor #6 - Coin Baker - I have never seen him in any other role, other from playing a part on a DW serial about a year before taking over as the Doctor.

HIs earliest credit is Cuckoo’s Nest, which also launched the careers of Danny DiVito and Brad Dourif.

If you look back into the 1970s, you can find him playing the sculptor Wenceslas Steinbock in a BBC adaptation of Balzac’s Cousin Bette.

Also in this same version of Cousin Bette, the minxish coquette Valerie who assists Bette in her revenge against her family is played by a buxom blonde young actress; at first glance, you might take her to be Felicity Kendall. Uh-uh. It’s Helen Mirren.

I’ll pile on this zombie, too.

In that movie (a Dirty Harry movie with Clint Eastwood), Jim Carrey played a drugged out lead singer of a band that apparently recorded “Welcome to the Jungle.” He was filming a music video for the song. The director of the video was Liam Neeson.

Watching Eastwood, Carrey, and Neeson on the screen at the same time with Guns N’ Roses as background music was a bit weird.

Bill Paxton was also on screen for about 30 seconds in Commando, as a Coast Guard radar operator. He had 3 or 4 lines, threatening to shoot down Ahnold’s seaplane.

Just watched “13 Rue Madeleine” a 1947 production on TCM which had Karl Malden and E.G. Marshall in one of their first roles ever. According to IMDB Red Buttons was also making one of his first appearances but I failed to recognize him. All were uncredited.

Two things…
Bill Paxton was in Streets of Fire as a bartender (that also featured Willem DaFoe and Dianne Lane)

Bill Paxton and Arnold have been in three films together by my rusty recollect

Commando, Terminator, and True Lies

Ben Jones, John Schneider, and Sonny Shroyer who played Cooter, Bo, and Enos from Dukes of Hazzard, were in Smokey and the Bandit. Ben and John were in the fairgrounds scene at the beginning or end (forget which), and Sonny played a motorcycle cop.

And of course Burt Reynolds played Boss Hogg in the mostly terrible Dukes movie.

David Schwimmer played a gang leader in The Warriors.

I heard Marcel had a role in that one, too!

If your wife or girlfriend is bugging you to see a Diane Lane film, rent Judge Dredd for her!
