Hi everyone, I saw a post someone put on here about there doctors finally giving them a GI series. My question is related to that. My doc has been driving me mad, I have had pain for 3 months on both sides under my ribs, he has givin me all these other tests and it came out all negative, now my question is how do I get this doctor to give me the tests that I need even though I have no insurance? Should I just go back to the hospital? Please I need advice because I feel nothing is getting any better and this Ranitidine he put me on has done no good except with the acid. I already owe big money anyway so what can this GI series test hurt. thanks
Since the OP is seeking medical advice, this is better suited for IMHO than GQ.

Can you try another doctor? My BP has been skyrocketing lately to the point where I had physical symptoms (chest pains, light headedness, etc), and I am already on a diuretic for it. The first 2 medical practitioners told me to just take more diuretics and increase the dose, which do nothing above and beyond what the drugs are already doing. It pissed me off since high BP can do organ damage, and they were basically ignoring the problem and telling me to take even more useless diuretics.
Finally the 3rd doctor took me seriously, and I am working with him to develop a drug regimin to get my BP down.
The point is, doctors aren’t always helpful if you have a problem and if one doesn’t listen to you you can look into another.
By GI series do you mean the GI Joe cartoons? Because if you do, the rest of your post doesn’t make any sense.
What tests have they done?
