Heartbreak Kid

So I saw this movie over the weekend and there is a woman near the end of the movie who I could’ve SWORN was Eva Longoria.

I IMDBd it, and it had her character listed as another person, Sandra Ramirez, but a buddy of mine thought the same thing. I googled Eva and the movie and a few thread came up saying it totally was. I didn’t think to stay for the end credits, mainly because I’m lazy and figured I could IMDB it when I got home.

Anyone else who saw the movie certain that that woman was her? Becayse she totally looked way more like Longoria than Sandra Ramirez.

I won’t be seeing the “new” version for awhile. Probably several years.

I tried to share the original movie with a girl I was dating. Big mistake: it turned out that her husband had left her for a co-worker. She didn’t appreciate that the whole point of the movie was that Lenny Cantrow was a total jerk. Silly me.

I love the original; one of the best comedy/dramas of its era. Again, shows what kind of filmmaker Elaine May is: if you’re familiar with her work, Ishtar is pretty good movie.

My guess is that if you loved the original, you would REALLY hate the remake. I thought it was a little so-so, slightly irritating and far-fetched.
