So, I’m playing this.

Has anyone else played it? Suggestions? Advice?
What I usually like to do is take a small country that really didn’t do anything serious is WW2, and try to turn it into a player.
In my current game, I’m gradually shifting the government of Turkey over to a more… militant one, shall we say?
I don’t have the manual, so I am a bit hindered by that, but having played the original HoI, I’m finding this to be much easier to interact with.
I love this game. I usually play as one of the big guns, but I should play a game as a minor power one of these days- Turkey is an interesting choice- not only because of its position in central Europe, but because it could have been a help to either side of the war based on its geographical position- I imagine an Axis Turkey could have helped Germany invade the Middle East and the Caucasian Soviet Union. (In reality, Turkey entered the war on the Allied side in mid-1945- too late to do any major efforts.)
The HOI2 Wiki is a nice resource.
Indeed. When I played the original HoI, I enjoyed using Mexico to conquer my way down to the Panama Canal, and then quickly get smoked by the US.
