It’s always worth pointing out that one does not have to be religious to think you’re an asshole, asshole. Nor, for that matter, does one have to be religious in order to stand up for religion. But I suspect that contradiction is enough to fry the two decrepit neurons you try to pass off as a brain, so it’s probably best for you to not dwell on it for too long.

Lemur866 was stating a standard arguments defending religion, that’s it’s all the fault of people, not religion, no matter if the people are doing what the religion tells them to. Demonizing humanity in order to shift all blame from religion is the norm.
And you falsely claimed that I was blaming everything bad on religion, and then you tried to pretend that I said that religion was the only reason a cop would abuse gays. You constantly distort what I say, which is what I expect from someone willing to defend religion.

Religion of all stripes is so pervasive in all human culture that the statement “all evil stems ultimately from religion” is about as meaningful a statement as “all food was once alive”.
