Hello again! I haven’t been around here in awhile (since 2009!) and thought I’d stop by to see what’s new and who is still around from when I was a lot more active here. I’ve poked around and have seen some familiar people still active. I browsed the In Memoriam thread and saw many names of those I remember who have passed on.
I’ll be stopping by a bit more frequently, I think, as I always liked the people and conversations here.

There’s a whole bunch of new mods – including me, which you may not have known about depending on when in 2009 you drifted away.

Wow, you haven’t been around since 2009? Not that I am very good at remembering Dopers, but I remember your name and it doesn’t seem like I haven’t seen it for 4 years. Time goes fast around here I guess.

Things aren’t a lot different here. We still have the same welcoming rituals for newbies. The administration still stomps on spammers with jewelled jackboots. We have lost a few people, and there’s been the occasional bump in the road, like the Martian invasion and the incident with the NSA, but even those are barely worth mentioning.

Silenus- Thanks! Still a fan of the Hawaiian shirts, I presume?
ZipperJJ and Snowboarder Bo- I remember both of you and hopefully you’ll be glad I’m back. Not that I’m hugely prolific or anything, I just like good conversation. And no, no caches found.
Digital is the New Analog- you’re a new addition since I’ve been gone, so Hello to you!
Sunspace- some things don’t really change that much and that can be a good thing.
Rico- yes, we had met at meetups in both Huntington Beach and here in Vegas. Also, I know it’s very late, but please accept my deepest sympathies on Kathy’s passing. I remember her fondly and she was a really wonderful person.
Oh, I’m glad you’re back. Someday, when you find one of my geocaches I’ll cackle with glee, tho.
Hey yourself! So, how do you manage to not come around here for four years? Some of us don’t have that ability.
I got busy with work and life and well, you know how it goes. 
I’ve never actually played any geocache games. Maybe I should! Is there an app for that?
