I used to be a fairly prolific poster back in the early to mid '00s. Between the Winter of Missed Content and Real Life, I dropped away. I don’t know what brought me back, but I’ve spent a lot of time over the last couple of days rereading old threads, thinking of old friends and old times. It made me wonder who else might be around, who else might still remember me. So, is there anyone still here that remembers the old administrator/teacher of the Flirt Academy?

Qadgop_the_Mercotan, I started back in 2000, ran the Flirt Academy, was one of the influx of Dopers getting Married (to Verrain, one of Persephone’s best friends, and pretty exclusive poster herle in MPSIMS. Not sure what else might twig your memory.

pjd, I was still around and pretty prolific in 2003. It was the year Verrain and I got married. I stayed pretty much exclusively here in MPSIMS. But nice to meet you as well.

I can’t say that I remember you specifically but your name does rings a bell – like Beck, I read old threads with some regularity. However, I am but a relatively new poster as I have only been here for 16 years. Thus I suspect we have never interacted directly.
Having said that, welcome back! This place has slowed down quite a bit over the years but it is still one of the best places on the internet to hang out with smart and engaging people.

Lancia, yeah it looks like you started the year after I stopped coming around. I am glad that our old threads are still exciting enough for rereads. Ive noticed that it’s a lot slower and a different vibe. It’ll probably take me a little bit to get reacclimated. But I’m planning on sticking around.

Of course I remember you! (Verrain and True Pisces hosted Dopefests and for a long time a group of Dopers had D&D night each week at their place. Also, we were friends on LiveJournal and she and Verrain are my friends on Facebook). Welcome back!
