Like others your name definitely rings a bell, although I must confess I don’t have any specific memories of you from any past threads. Not a bad thing.
It looks like we registered on the board around the same time. I was a hardcore lurker for a very long time and have only recently begun posting with more regularity. The board is definitely not as busy as it was 20 years ago, but we still have interesting, informative, and sometimes insane discussions here. It can be as fun as it ever was. The soul of the SDMB has persisted against all odds. And for much longer than I would have predicted at one point.
Anyway, again welcome back, and feel free to stick around for a while.

When I was newer to Discworld my first favourite character was Lobsang Ludd, and my first favourite book was Thief of Time. I’ve since read many more, and my new favourite character is Sam Vimes, and book: Night Watch.
But in recent years my attention span has suffered badly (I suspect I have ADHD and ASD), and I don’t read much anymore. I have Raising Steam sat on my windowsill begun but stalled. It’s been there for years.

I was on sdmb before it switched to Discourse (I think it was vbulletin) so I’m not sure if the join dates were retained?
You should change your user name to ‘Kotter’
It was vBulletin and yes, the join dates are from the old system. The cutover to Discourse was in June 2020.
You’ll find the formatting of older threads is kinda goofed up, but they’re all still there. Many, but not all, crosslinks between old threads were updated to still work under Discourse.
Welcome back. Yes definitely smaller. And we’re all 15-20 years older. And the tone is less juvenile / locker room.
But otherwise we’re the same folks net of some gray(er) hair.

I’ve been here for almost 20 years but I’m much more of a lurker than a poster. I do remember you, Lobsang, and I don’t remember you as being annoying
If I had more hair on my head I’m sure it would be gray (and by gray I mean white) but those follicles are abandoning my scalp at an alarming rate.
