A quibble: The biggest issue with comparing “bigot” is that it has a much wider behavioral range than the other things you mention. That is to say, a wife beater pretty much can beat at most a dozen or so wives, or one. On the other hand, “bigot” as previously used in this thread defines a range of behavior that ranges from “never changes behavior, just secretly seethes every time he sees a black” to “Pol Pot”.
Perhaps it would be more accurate to say that the worst people are almost all bigots (in addition to their murderous actualization of said bigotry).
