Hi, I am Ladyrose, I just joined today and am anxious to make my way around this message board. If it is as good as it looks, I think that I will like it here.
I am 51 years old and I live in the Columbia River Gorge in Washington State, I have a great sense of humor and I am a very friendly lady,and I interested in making some new friends and having some good discussions on the message board.

Hello, Ladyrose, and welcome. I’m glad you’ve got a sense of humor; don’t know how one can deal with today’s world otherwise. Some very funny people post to the Straight Dope Message Board (SDMB).
The people who post here range from teenagers on up, and cover a pretty broad political spectrum. In the “Cafe Society” board you’ll find discussions dealing with just about any movie, play or book you’ve ever heard of; in the “Barbecue Pit” you can find a great deal of cursing and sometimes vicious arguments.
Mostly, though, we’re a pretty friendly bunch, so I hope you find something to interest you.
I hope you don’t mind my moving your thread to MPSIMS, where introductions are usually first made. By the way, I find the Columbia River Gorge to be quite beautiful this time of year,
