Help, are there RV parks, year round camp grounds or trailer parks on Oahu?

As you know one of my primary goals in life is to move to Oahu (where I was stationed in the Navy for two years, and had the best time of my life). However, Oahu, is very expensive. If we are able to become CRNA’s then that expense shouldn’t be a huge problem. However, if we don’t get accepted to nurse anesthesia grad school, then we will have to make do as ICU RN’s (about 50K per year in Oahu). Thus, we will need to look for ways to minimize our living expenses. One option, I have considered is living in a nice camper (something 1990 or newer and about 30foot plus long). Are there any “campgounds” on Oahu that allow year round camping? I figure that IF there are that they will probably go for around $600.00 per month expensive for a camp ground, but much cheaper than the average of $1,200 to $1,500.00 per month for a two bed room apartment. I have “Googled” multiple times without success. In addition, I have written about twenty people who live in Hawaii via email w/o a response. Any help in “keeping the dream alive” would be appreciated.

I copied your question into ask.com and it seems that the factual answer is, ‘probably yes’.

Thanks, I followed the links and did find what looks like a bonafide RV park campground (but only one). I have a feeling that the state of Hawaii is not real thrilled about advertising these types of things since the last thing they want to do is attract more residents intent on living in trailer parks or campgrounds. However, this is the dream that motivates me to go to school, and work everyday so I am intent on figuring out a way to make it happen.

When you bring your RV or trailer out to Hawaii, let us know. I’d like to know how long a drive that is.

Peace.

Obviously, the idea would be to buy one already there!
