Help find a book I loved as a kid

Hi,

I am trying to find a book for my Kids. I vaguely remember reading these as a kid. They were colourful picture books of life in a village of Gnomes. The books were a bit large ( maybe B4 size)and all the pages were hard board. I am not sure if they were Enid Blyton . I tried searching but found only Noddy. I am sure they were not Noddy.

Similar cooks I remember I read at the time were the Faraaway tree series and Wishing chair, but these Gnome books were more colourful and had pictures on all pages.Could you please help with suggestions.

This is more like of how one gnome saves the day by doing something innovative for his village.
