Help Hillary by giving her a great debate zinger

Its true: to the discerning eye, there was a definite “Crass Distinction”.

You should be Ashamed!

As a Rule, NEVER bait the angry, the bull-headed, or the partisan political hack into an irrational political debate.
By all means, Let Them Come To You.

(…Say, is it too late to suggest this to Hillary’s camp…?)

This is indeed a terrible idea and would be a devastatingly stupid thing for Trump to say, but I don’t think it’s exactly his style of stupid thing to say.

There is no demographic who would be significantly moved toward him by hearing a philanderer chastise a woman for being cheated on or for her reaction to that cheating. There is a significant demographic–married women–who are likely to be moved away from him by hearing that.

The more he engages in this sort of hypocrisy, the better for Clinton. I hope he tries something very similar to your suggestion, only in his own words, because it’ll continue his downward trajectory.

I’m digging this thread up to toot my own horn.

Personally, I was hoping that she would come to second debate wearing one of those chastity belts with spikes under the crotch that the women were wearing in Mad Max.

Lance Turbo, you rock!

Did Starving Artist ever respond after the debates about this post? I’d love to hear what he thinks now.

He thinks that if Trump had gone with the plan SA outlined he’d be doing a lot better in the polls now.

Seriously, I think your plan is about the only plan that could have made him do even worse than he did. Spending all his time talking about Clinton’s special eyeglasses? What’s next, calling her a lizard-person? Delving into the depths of alt-right conspiracy theory world is not a winning strategy.

All his time talking about her glasses?

I do not think this is an accurate description of my former prediction, most of which is based on fact, btw, and not ‘conspiracy theory’.

Fair enough–I should have said “her glasses and similar trivia that only is worth talking about if built into a conspiracy theory framework.”

That’s where you went wrong. Trump does not deal in facts.

Good on you for coming back, but I think you’re still deluding yourself. Trump has no discipline or ability to not hurl random “wrong” and “nasty woman” type insults and interjections, and no ability to not be baited by the very predictable references to prior bad behavior with women like Alicia Machado, and all of this was eminently predictable and should have been obvious to anyone paying attention.
