I need to cut out caffeine, and while lowering my coffee consumption has helped it hasn’t solved my problem. I guess this means I have to go all the way, but I don’t want to give up the one and only thing I genuinely like about mornings.
I prefer the darkest roasts I can find and I drink my coffee black so there will be no compensating for bad taste by covering it up. Bold, dark, and strong is my favorite.
I’m almost done with my last bag of regular; where can I find a good dark, rich and bold decaf?
I drink both decaff and regular Starbucks and Peet’s. I don’t really taste the difference, but I don’t drink it black. Both of those brands offer French and Italian roasts and espresso roasts.
I favor these folks; It’s also available in non-free-trade-organic varieties, but I don’t consume coffee fast enough that I need to worry about pricing on it, really.
Illyis my favorite. I can’t tell the decaf from the regular. Both excellent. They have dark roast and medium. I like to try lots of different coffees, but I always come back to this one. Not cheap. Where I live, it’s ~$11/lb.
