Help identify a recent show

Watching Ash vs Evil Dead (which is so good it hurts), I was reminded of a scene that I think is from a recent tv show but I can’t quite place it, and it’s driving me nuts.

My memory is of a tv show, but it could conceivably be a movie. It’s essentially a Cabin in the Woods horror plot, but towards the end of the season, after many/most of the principals had already been killed, all of a sudden two or three foreign hikers stumble into the action. They were something Nordic – Swedish, maybe? – and I think it was two girls and a guy. Of course these newcomers died in short order, and it was laughably obvious that they were only introduced so that there could be more killing without killing off the last few principals.

I keep thinking it was an American Horror Story season, but I don’t remember any Cabin in the Woods settings in any of them other than the most recent, and it’s definitely not Roanoke. Something similar (exactly the same) happened in Roanoke, but those newcomers weren’t Swedish campers who got lost, they were reality famewhores with selfie sticks. Maybe Freak Show?

My memory is hazy on timing; I’ll say anywhere from three to ten years ago. I’m pretty sure I remember us goofing on it here on the dope when it aired. It’s possible it wasn’t a horror setting, but I’m pretty sure it was.

EDIT: Wait, was it Ash vs Evil Dead, season 1? If so, man I’m an idiot.

The Ash vs. Evil Dead people were Australian, if that’s what you mean. Sort of a similar part of the world as the Nordic countries :dubious: One lasted 2-3 episodes, at least.

In my defense, my memory classified “white blonde chick with accent” under “Nordic.”

Heh, does her shirt say “Live Forever”? I guess she lived to a ripe old age by the standards of the show.
