I’ve been trying to identify the band on this tune for some time. I assume the name of the song is probably not Silver Bullet In Your Heart because I can’t find anything via Google or Allmusic.com.
It’s an uptempo country-tinged rocker that sounds like it might be, oh, along the lines of the Marshall Tucker Band or some such.
Without violating copyright, I think fair use would involve printing the chorus below
How could they — and why would they
Tear a poor boy apart
Well, they get you where they want you
With a silver bullet in your heart
Other lyric points involve a milk-white steed, and goodbyes to Sara Lee and Betsy Ross, as the singer vows not to let another woman make a fool out of him.
Anybody know this one?
