I heard this on the radio yesterday, but I have no idea if it’s new or old.
The song is a slow, maybe blues-country, piece about a man who doesn’t believe in love or affection, just selfishness. Not in a necessarily bad way, he sings it more like it’s just the fact of the case for anyone who was hoping for a relationship.
The singer has a really smooth, comforting voice that’s beautiful, though he doesn’t really show any particular range in this song, just sort of talk-singing in an easy-going way.
There’s a repeated chorus something like, “I don’t want no love, I don’t da da da da da.”
I have no guesses, but since the OP posted on February 15, the song was probably played as an “Anti- Valentine” song. Conceivably that could help in tracking down the radio station’s playlist… although I’m not sure how.
