The net on my Iphone froze, and is stuck on google search but won’t search anything! I tried to tap but safari is unresponsive…what should I do?
Reset it. Hold the two power buttons for 10 seconds or so.
sim: Just so you know, I reported this thread to have it moved to IMHO where you’ll get better input.
Thanks! Its working now! I was having a panic attack for nothing!
Thanks & good looking out:)
No probs…
You could pull the battery so it will re … ohhh wait. Sorry, couldn’t resist!
Try harder next time
Obviously post this in my First World Problems thread!
If this ever happens again, rather then resetting the whole phone, you can try closing the program first. Double click the rounded rectangle button on the bottom/middle of your phone. It will bring up a list of running programs. Press one of the icons and hold it until they all start shaking. Click the minus symbol, which will force the program to close fully. This should reset the program and allow it to launch properly.
Even if the phone had a removable battery, why would you do this, when there are other easier ways to solve the problem?
Next time I’m having technical difficulties I’ll be sure too!
ok thanks!
Closing from multi-tasking is going to be your best bet if Safari is not responding overall.
Otherwise in Safari, hit the button that looks like two screens overlayed. This will display every open browser window. Close the ones not responding or stuck on something.
Pulling batteries to resolve things isn’t an optimal solution for anything. It never fails to amaze me that google fanboys think this is the ideal and laugh at the iphone over not having the same ability. “Oh, you have a problem? Just disassemble the unit and put it back together. That will fix it!”
Who cares if it isn’t optimal? It’s handy that it’s available. It’s not as though you can’t reset an Android phone without doing it.
Thanks y’all:)
