Help me fight Chicks! Tracts that is.

So, I have a fundamentalist christian co-worker (He’s even a minister for his church on the weekends) who can’t leave well enough alone. About 8 months ago he left some propaganda material on my desk, and even though I decided not to bring it up, since I complained to a co-worker, it made it through the grapevine and he was told not to do that. He hasn’t left anything on my desk since then.

A couple of weeks ago I noticed a little pamphlet called the candymaker on the conference tables next to our door, and checked it out. It was the old legend about candy-canes being made to symbolize christ by poor persecuted christians. So of course I went to snopes, printed out the related page, and paper clipped it to the pamphlet.

They are both still on the desk, but I noticed the addition of a Chick Tract Poor Little Lamb . What should I add to the pile? It can’t be too offensive, but I am more than willing to push back with an close atheist version. He is the last person to get into the office everyday (but not the last to leave) so there is no way for him to know who puts it out.

Any ideas will be listened to!

Would that Cthulu tract be too inflammatory?

Ooh, what Cthulu tract? Do you have a link? Either that or a Flying Sphaghetti monster tract would be nice.

I suggest that you talk to The Powers That Be instead. By personally retaliating now, you might lose that right in the future.

I guess CD’s by Bad Religion or the Crucifucks or Christian Death would be out of the question. Honetstly I think the best thing is to ignore it. It’s not like arguing with these people goes anywhere or gets you anything.

Here’s a link to Cthulhu tract.

Who will be eaten first

I think the Flying Spaghetti Monster has downloadable tracts, too.

Go pick up the religious material he left on the table and write the date on it. Put it in a file in your drawer. Go to your boss and complain that you don’t like being preached to at work, in any format, and you are requesting that religion and preaching no longer be allowed within the office. Next time this happens, do the exact same thing. If it happens a third time make copies of all of the stuff you have collected and take it to your boss, explaining that this violates your first ammendment rights and that if it happens again you might be forced to contact a lawyer. I bet the religious guy either learns to shut up very quickly after that or learns to work in a church/christian bookstore where his opinions are more likely to be welcome.

Why yes, I have had this happen to me in the workplace before, why do you ask? :stuck_out_tongue:
