Help me find a movie line! Please!

This has been driving me crazy for the last few weeks, and I’m calling upon the benevolent assistance of the collective knowledge of the SDMBers.

There’s this one line in a movie, and I’ve been trying to remember what movie it’s from. This guy goes up to a woman’s house and they meet somehow – I can’t remember exactly how. Anyway, she opens the conversation with, “So, what brings you here?” and he responds, “My undying love for you. …Damn, I was supposed to lead up to that.”

Can anyone help this poor, semi-pathetic soul?

Just a WAG, but it reminds me of a scene in “Mr. Mom,” where Michael Keaton’s character has been toying with the idea of hooking up with some seductive neighbor. She he invites him over, she sizes him up, and witticisms are exchanged.

That last sentence should be:

She invites him over, he shows up at the door, she sizes him up, and witticisms are exchanged.

If it helps any, the male actor says the line in an English accent or reasonable facimile thereof.

ArrgH! I’m going crazy!

Oop, never mind. I made it there.

Any chance it was Hugh Grant in “Four Weddings and a Funeral”?

Rats, I thought this was going to be about people staking out theaters where the next Star Wars film was going to open in a few years.
