Help me find a music video

I’ve been plagued these past few days by the memory of a music video I watched when I was a teenager (so, something out of the 90s). Only I can’t remember the music that went with it, and it’s driving me nuts trying to figure it out.

Here’s what I remember :

  • soft rock
  • singer is a pretty boy. Blonde, with shoulder length hair. I keep thinking Bryan Adams or Bon Jovi
  • the video is in all orange sepia tones
  • throughout the video, the singer walks all sultry-like around town at night, and sometimes it cuts to a woman (dark haired, I think) painting in some kind of warehouse or wide empty room, with her easel sitting in the middle.
  • near the end of the song, the singer enters the warehouse, has some kind of argument with the woman, most probably along the lines of “why did you leave me for him ?!”. It gets physical, he pushes her aside then draws a huge knife and slashes the painting.

That’s about it.
Any ideas ?

hhaha, i know the 1, but cant think of it!

Are you sure it’s not Bon Jovi - Always?

That’s the one !
OK, so I was wrong about… err… pretty much every bit of it. Which only goes to show : the SDMB is magical.

Was that Carla Gugino and Keri Russell? Stupid video but those two are hotties.

Ha. I saw this thread yesterday and that is the one I first thought of, but didn’t post it since it didn’t fit some of the requirements.
