So, a year or so ago (maybe a bit longer) I recall hearing a dramatic reading of an odd semi-sci-fi story about a man who fixes things. The story was told from the POV of a store owner who finds the man hiding in his shop. In the beginning, the fixer repairs (I believe) a freezer and some minor other gadgets, but as the story goes on, it’s found that the man can fix -anything-, at one point even ‘fixing’ a dead woman so that she’s alive again. Towards the end, the narrator realizes the man is on the run from some shadowy agency that either (I believe) made or trained him. I’d love to find this story again. Ring bells to anyone?
