Help me find French song

When I was in France in the early 1980’s I remember hearing a pop song that I think was “Papa Tango Charlie”. I certainly remember that as the refrain - “Allo Papa Tango Charlie”. As I recall (and this was some time ago, and in my second language) it was about a man who had suffered some sort of heartbreak and flew off over the ocean (the Carribean???) into limbo. The refrain, IIRC, is someone trying to contact him over the radio.

Gee, could I be more obscure than that?

Questions:

Did I remember the title correctly?

If not, what is the correct title?

And where could I find the lyrics?

For extra special bonus points, sheet music would be even better, but that’s probably expecting waaaaaaaaaay too much. (My instrument of choice is piano, just in case a miracle happens)

BTW, you were right about the title, Papa Tango Charlie. I hadn’t heard that song in years.
