Okay. I have (sort of) a digital wristwatch… somewhere in the bedroom. Oh, it beeps on the hour, every hour tho getting a little weaker. The problem is, I can’t find it.
I’ve cleaned the bedroom countless times and hoped it would turn up, but nothing. Part of the problem is the way the beep sounds-- it’s tough to figure out which direction it’s coming from. Any ideas?? Thanks.
Check your sock drawer. That’s where mine was when I had a similar problem. I think the dresser managed to redirect the sound so that it was difficult to pinpoint, even tough the alarm went off every 24 hours. I guess you can check your other drawers, too…
Do you have a daily alarm set? If you have a minute of beeping each time, you should be able to find it in no more than a couple of days. Just stand in the middle of the room and when it beeps, move around until you hear it getting louder. If you move slowly, it should be easier to notice changes. When you run out of time, just remember where you were and in what direction you were going from the last time. It’s what I do whenever I lose something that beeps.
I lost my watch once, did the same thing, beeps every hour, found it like a year later, still beeping. Now I have this nifty watch that I only take off when I shower, its a Luminox stainless steel and carbon fiber dive watch. It even has glow in the dark hands, but the only difference is that they will glow for 10 years straight. Its radioactive!!! Its little glass capsules filled with phosphorus and a radioactive isotope of hydrogen known as Tritium. Neat stuff.
No daily alarm, just a couple beeps on the hour. I appreciate the advice, it’s been missing almost a year now, I’m sure it will turn up eventually. Or not.
Have a watch party. Invite friends over for pizza and beer, and just before the hour split up into different areas of the room. When it himes, everyone looks. Someone must be close. Give the finder a prize. may I suggest a watch??
Under the bed, or possibly under one of your dressers (if you have more than one). We find stuff under our dressers all the time. It happens when you have 3 kids.
