Anyway… I’m sitting here at work, bored out of my skull, and I find myself wanting some decent ambient music to work by. I’m looking for something specific, though…
I want an algorithmically-generated music, using MIDI for the instrumentation. Kinda like this, but continuous, and preferably not on a website.
Optimally, it would be a program which sits in my taskbar, generating ambient music based upon number seeds which are derived from my computer’s current condition. I’d like to have the ability to adjust the instruments and behavior of the music on the fly.
Anyone seen anything like this? I like Wolfram’s website, but I’d prefer something I could have play continuously and which is resident on my computer.
