Help me find "The Garden Song" (swearing in lyrics)

At one time, my dad had a cassette with a song called “The Garden Song”, but it was accidentally taped over! We’ve been looking all over for this song, and cannot find it. We only know the title, not the artist. It is more of a country style song, and the lyrics are quite…colorful.

Here is a handful that my dad can remember…

“I live in the country, I have a neighbor, his name is Joe”

“Me and Joe don’t get along just so”

“So one day I decided I was going to fix his clock, and that puny motherfucker would never know”

“Joe, he grows a garden, out behind his house, the prettiest fucking garden you’ve ever seen”

And somewhere in there was this line, or something similar:

“I stomped on his potatoes and shit on his tomatoes”

Hopefully someone else has heard this oddball tune, and can point me in the right direction to find a copy!

Only took 9 yrs!

But a perfect post/username combo!

Aye, it doesn’t get more perfect than that: it’s RegisteredOnlyToAnswer’s only post.

ETA: This was kinda like listening to a country version of Doug Clark & His Hot Nuts!

So I clicked on that video just to see the singer, 'cos I knew already from the OP I wouldn’t care for the song. Very jaunty.

However, the late singer, Johnny Rebel, from Louisiana had views — not even ironically — that would have led to him being shunned by mad old racists in Victorian Britain.

Well that certainly tamps down my enjoyment of that song, even tho there’s no racism that I detected in The Garden Song itself (assholishness, sure, but not racism).
