starring Yul Brynner and Deborah Kerr . . .
According to IMdB it’s not available in VCR or DVD. The screenplay is not available on Drew’s script-o-rama or anywhere else I can find. I need to see this movie! (Or read the screenplay although that’s not quite the same. Actually not by a long shot.)
It looks like I’m gonna have to find somebody who has cable and make a copy! Surely, some broadcast/narrowcast station, somewhere, is showing this movie. Normally I would frown on that sort of thing, but if it’s not available any other way, then I see no way around it.
Or . . . the file-sharing thing?
(And furthermore: on Nov. 2 I ordered The Third Man from amazon.com. I still don’t have that one, either. They tried to convince me to buy an alternate, 50-year-anniversary edition for $50 or somesuch, but I held out for the $19.95 version, and now I suffer.)
Any good ideas from the knowledgeable folk here?
