Help me find thid Brooklyn Thai resturant

I need to find a Brooklyn(possibly queens) Thai restaurant that I visited about three years ago. I didn’t have any luck finding it with google and am not sure if it is still there. I know very little about it, but I thought with a few clues maybe a local could tell me the name and where it is(or was)?

  1. It was a full service chic Thai restaurant.

  2. I remember an odd chair hanging from the ceiling in the waiting area(not a separate room, just an area where we waited for a table). It was basically a clear hollow sphere hanging from the ceiling with a portion of one side missing so people could sit in it.

  3. I also remember a very odd faucet where people washed their hands after using the restroom. The restrooms were for a single person. The faucet was in a common area outside the individual restrooms. It was oriental looking and you had to tip some container of water which was in the center.

  4. I remember an oriental style pool and a statue(buudah?) near the cener of the restauant that really added to the atmosphere.

I don’t think it was very expensive. That’s all I remember. If anyone has any clues I would appreciate it.

But I don’t even know where the frst or secnd Brooklyn Thai restaurants are!

Does its name end in -gry?

Hmmmmm…about two hundred fifty Thai restaurants in Brooklyn…add maybe another three hundred if we’re including Queens…

…yeah, somebody should be stopping by with an answer for you anytime now.

It’s SEA in Williamsburg, on North 6th Street, a block or two west of Bedford (Kent, maybe?).

Still very much there. There’s also a Manhattan branch, but I think the Brooklyn one is better.

Don’t forget the video feeds in the restrooms!

Holy crap that’s it!!! Thanks!! I’ll probably be eating there in a week or so. I forgot about the video feeds though.

Actually about 30 or so including both Brooklyn and Queens(as listed on New York magazine’s webpage). I admire your pessimism though. Thanks for the bump.
