Mr. Singular has asked me to find a song on my fancy computer for him (He being a mere notch above Luddite). Whereas I’m pretty good at finding all kinds of information on the web, I haven’t gotten into searching for music, mostly since I do a lot of my searching on the computer at work, where there are no speakers. So I have spent a frustrating hour trying to get started in various music sites, but I’m running into two problems. Either I have to wait forever to download software on my dialup, or, on those sites where I can search before joining, I can’t find what I’m looking for.
He wants Dean Martin singing "Hey Brother, Pour the Wine."
I’ve found lots of lyrics sites, even several with Marge Simpson singing the first verses, but I have failed to find an actual downloadable file.
Can someone out there make me look like a genius again to my beloved husband? Thanks!
See, that doesn’t help at all.
I don’t have a turntable anymore (lost it in a flood.
That ain’t impress Mr. singular at all.
I don’t want the whole freakin’ album. That’s why I asked where I might download the song.
I’m not looking to rip it off - I’ll pay. I just want to know where to find the damn thing!
I recommend you try www.kazaa. com. It is one of those “download music” type of
sites. It will take a while for you to download the song. There’s no getting around it. At least you’ll have it. BTW there ARE worse CD’s to have in your collection than
Dean Martin.
I’m more than a little sure that the mods would frown on linking to a download of copyrighted material, so that could be the reason you not getting more responses, but I would just like to warn you, do not download kazaa unless you want to install spyware. There are other P2P software programs that allow you to search for files, I’ll not post links to thier sites, but WinMX is a good one.
