Help me get a really cool job! (Trivia game!)

The job: A research assistant for a horror writer.

The task: I have to send him a resume, plus the answers to a few questions. I figure “Hey, the more people I have working to find this information, the better! That’s still research!” If I get the job, anyone who helped me gets a drink on me.

The questions:

  1. Find the Billboard top 10 songs by week for the first six months of 1989.

  2. Find the number of cell phones in use in the United States from 1980-1999.

  3. Find the suburbs and neighborhoods of Chattanooga, Tennessee, along with average income level of each.

  4. How do handgun silencers work? What types are there?

The last two I will probably find on my own. The first two are not as easy, even with Brian’s music books for the Billboard question.

Please list your sources for the answers, if you find any. I’ve been having a lot of fun looking so far…(and no, I’m not being sarcastic–I love this shit).

Thanks!

Check out this link, if you haven’t already found it, before you surf too much on q. no. 1. One option it gives is billboard.com’s pay site. (note: before you get too excited, no answer per se here.)

Here’s the pay site- Billboard

I found another site, can’t vouge for its credibility- top 1989

It appears the only way to get a credible account of Billboards listings are to pay for them.
