Help me get extra credit! I'll send you a postcard!

Yes. I am so uber-competitive that I will resort to postcard bribery. My Journalism professor sent the class the following email:

So, as networking is a legitimate means of aquiring information, send any and all information to my email address, which is that little envelope below the post. I will do the obvious stuff, phone directories and the like. But anyone with any information on this guy, let me know. I already lost the information scavenger hunt in this class by 2 group points, I need to save face.

Apparently, he does own the Batmobile.

Scott Chinery stands beside the Batmobile at his Dover Township, N.J. home.
He bought the super-hero chariot, one of two used in the 1960s television series,
[just the #1 car appeared on film, no others] for $180,000 last year [1989].

This may be more interesting to you:

[url) or other he filed with the FTC - has company names and numbers he is associated with.

I’ll keep looking. I like Internet research. (It’s a sickness.)

Grrr. That link should be:

http://www.mlmlaw.com/library/cases/salesmark/L&SResea.html

on its way

and you could go to http://www.chinery.com to see the man and his guitars.

Scott Chinery

This is for a boy scout troop. Can’t be the same guy… can it?

You could e-mail steve@grimesguitars.com and as him for some info, he built 3 guitars for Scott Chinery.

Well, after checking around a little, I came up with most of the links everyone else has. However, I checked out the Chinnery.com website and you can order an autographed copy of his book from:

THE CHINERY COLLECTION
PO Box 1371, Toms River, NJ 08754

I would assume that since this is in New Jersey, and he personalizes the book’s autographs, this would be a way to get in touch with him. If your prof ordered a book, they’d probably pass anything else along to Mr. Chinery, also. Or, maybe they’d just pass a nicely worded letter along anyway.

Does this qualify me for a postcard?
