I caught the end of a stand-up bit on the radio that was very much to my liking. Of course, there was no mention afterwards of the performer’s name.
He has a thick British accent (more so than Gervais, I think). His bit was about God and the Devil and heaven and hell.
He talked about how we only hear one side of the story – God’s side (“when’s the Devil’s book gonna come out?”). He says the Devil is wrongly portrayed (“If you’re a dick all your life, screwing people over, and you arrive in Hell, the Devil’s not gonna treat you badly. You’re one of his boys!”) Also, “you get to heaven and what do you get? A bright light. You walk toward it, and what’s there? All your dead relatives. Whoop-de-fuckin’-doo!”.
Was it Jim Jeffries? He has a bit “Heaven and Hell” and has a thick accent. He is actually Australian and then moved to London. All the links to the Heaven and Hell bit I could find were broken.
