Only clues I have -
It was released on LaserDisc so I know its fairly old
Plot - On the day a boy is born a bus crashes killing all or some of its occupants
Later the boy has problems and ghosts from the bus come to his assistance.
It may be a kids or pre-teen target audiance.
Those are the only clues I have. My daughter’s friend described her “favorite movie” and we want to surprise her with it as a present.

I believe the movie you’re looking for is “Heart and Souls”, with Robert Downey Jr., Alfre Woodard, Charles Grodin, etc. It’s a romantic comedy and I’ll drop everything to watch it if I come across it on TV.
