I heard this absolutely awesome song but I can’t seem to find a full version or who did it.
The chorus is “I’ll cry for you, I’ll cry for you.” It’s not by Europe or Candlestick. I even got a false hit for Bon Jovi. This is a soft ballad, sung by a woman. It’s sung with a lot of anguish and is really haunting.
In the key of A major the the notes of the chorus are |(rest) C# E F# | A F# C#(high) B | A
If it’s any help, the first three bars, harmonically, are |A|F#m|D
I figured that this was a super popular hit, but it’s looking like it might be really obscure. A friend suggested a few artists, and Taylor Swift seems to be the best match, but it’s very likely that’s not who it is.
