It’s fairly recent, sung by a woman, and the only part of the lyrics I can remember are from the chorus:
“You are the warm coast wind,
And you’ve blown into this little port and roused my dreams again…”
I hear it on the radio and I can never catch the title or the artist!
Googling on part of the lyric you quoted returned this website:
http://www.stankygroove.com/albums/harmer.html
Which seems to credit a Sarah Harmer for the song, which includes this refrain:
And if I am a sailor,
then you are the warm gulf wind,
and you’ve blown into this little port
and roused my dreams again.
Sarah Harmer, that’s it! Thanks!
That would be ‘almost’ by Sarah Harmer. The lyrics are here
She has a website, if you want to know any more about her. That includes a video and audio of ‘Almost’, if you want to check, or if like me you just like the song. I’m pretty sure it’s the same song though.
[nitpick] think it’s warm ‘gulf’ wind, actually. [/nickpick]
On preview RJKUgly beat me to it.
Many thanks
